Our Story
Kyin Medical was born from a heartfelt conversation in Somerset, Kentucky, with our late friend and cofounder, Dr. Robert Supinski, a recently retired orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Supinski had spent his career not only treating patients but also designing and commercializing orthopedic products that advanced the field. Together, we identified a significant gap: Kentucky lacked a company capable of assisting hospitals and surgeons in transforming intellectual property (IP) and innovative concepts into tangible medical device solutions. Our mission was clear— to build a company that could design, develop, and commercialize products locally, bolstering regional healthcare and improving supply chain reliability.

Brandon Miller
Brandon serves as our Chief Vision Officer. He is a native of Indiana, where he managed all worldwide aspects of Biomet Biologics.
Tragically, Dr. Supinski passed away unexpectedly in 2019, leaving a profound void in our mission and my life. Shortly afterward, the COVID-19 pandemic struck, forcing operational delays and challenges that compounded an already uncertain journey. During that period, I lost sight of our original purpose, falling into the same patterns as many other medical device companies—chasing growth at the expense of innovation, agility, and the very local focus that inspired us.
But purpose has a way of calling you back.
In 2023, we made a transformative decision to refocus on our founding principles. Kyin Medical became a principal owner of Circle M, a CNC manufacturing facility in Warsaw, Indiana—the "Orthopedic Capital of the World." This facility allows us to control our supply chain, lead times, and quality like few others in our industry. It also positions us as a uniquely agile and responsive partner for hospitals and innovators in Kentucky, Indiana, and beyond.

Robert Supinksi
CO-FOUNDER Dr. Supinski passed away unexpectedly on April 28, 2021. He retired in 2019 as a distinguished orthopedic surgeon. Bob helped numerous companies develop and patent medical devices.
Our refocused mission is clear: to become a beacon for innovation and collaboration in healthcare. By combining the spirit of a local company with the capabilities of a global competitor, we are here to support surgeons, hospitals, and academic medical centers in developing and commercializing groundbreaking medical device solutions.
The Coulter Translational Research Partnership Program at the University of Michigan estimates that only 1% of startups nationwide demonstrate the ability to commercialize a medical device idea spawned at an academic medical center. Kyin Medical has completed another milestone with our recent FDA 510(k) clearance for sports medicine anchors, a testament to our team’s dedication and expertise.
We are actively seeking product ideas that align with our values: Innovative. Evaluative. Distinguishable. Whether you’re a surgeon with a groundbreaking concept or a hospital looking to support local innovation, Kyin Medical is your partner in bringing transformative ideas to life.
